NEWCOMERS CLUB POLICIES

 Weather Policy:

Weekday Cancellation:  If the Albemarle County schools are closed due to inclement weather, any Newcomers Club activity scheduled for that day may be canceled. Members are expected to inform themselves of schools’ weather status. The Activity Chair or Board of Directors, in case of membership-wide events, may decide to reschedule the canceled activity.

Weekend/Non-School Day Cancellation:  If hazardous travel conditions are forecast for weekend or non-school days, any Newcomers Club activity scheduled for that day may be canceled. The Activity Chair, after consultation with the host(s), shall notify all invitees of the cancellation by email. If the host(s) decide to proceed with the activity they shall notify all invitees that the activity is a privately-held event and not sponsored by Newcomers Club.
